Personal background
I am a creative person. I am 52 years old. I am in the Optical profession. I am classical pianist, artist, athlete.
This subject has been one of my interests for many years. I have been a member of the Planetary Society.
When I saw the Seti project I became very excited.
This idea has been in my thoughts, and here it was also in someone elses thoughts.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always thought that there is life elsewhere in the universe. It is too vast and we are all made of the same stuff as the late
Carl Sagan said. He made sense to me and I was so fascinated with his "COSMOS" series.
Humans will discover life in the universe with open minds and searching for who we are elsewhere.
We should send a beacon of peace and unity.
I run seti home because I believe that this is an unbelievable trade off and will indeed unfold more ideas for a project like this. This is just the beginning of something greater.
We only know of the recorded history on this planet earth. I wonder what is not recorded.
It is human nature to wonder, so what is the nature of the extraterrestrial if they also wonder and send and receive signals??
I am so excited and honored to be a participant in this project. I have always wanted to be a part of this journey and have actually contemplated looking for a job involved on this subject.
