I'm a 55 year-old who has been a stargazer for 43 years. I was running setiathome several years ago when the program got started. After changing computers and email addresses, I lost track of my account. I want to support the program once again on my Linux computer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. If not, it would an awful waste of space. Don't know. Don't know.
2. Yes. Information that supports communication and a problem to solve.
3. It's cool and good use of otherwise idle capacity. I have great respect for the creators and managers of the project. It is a great accomplishment. Include a star map and other location information in the client.
