Personal background
Hi

My Name is Kai Gillmann and i live in Germany. I am 16 years old and go to college.
My hobbies are computer, TV, science, Japanese mangas and my friends.
I like SETI very much... to be part of this interesting project. I am often thinking about the future and how it would be then.
In my future I want to become a programmer or administrator. I am learning C at the moment. It would be better when I say "I try to learn C " *smile*
OK. Thats what I can tell.
My teacher is responsible for my mistakes in this text. *laugh*

OK. So...
See ya later.
Kai...

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

--> Extraterrestrial is existing. I hope it. How can it be, than only our planet has intelligent life? They are millions of planets in the space. SETIs way to find our friends is one good way. I dont think that the others, we call them "aliens", want to fight against us. It must be great for them too, or what do you think?
2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

--> Hmm... We cant send them any information. I think they cant understand what they want to tell. I am not sure, that it would be a good idea.
3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

--> It is a mysterious but great feeling. I call it "The search for our next friends". I hope, there is life with human bodies, creatures like we all are. I want to help to discover one other, new "human world".
(That all sounds crazy, but I like it :->)
