Personal background
Lets see.
Well, I suppose I should start by answering the example questions its got at the top of this little window (So helpful by the way, ever since I've left school I've never been able to think properly)

Where am I from. I'm from Tamworth, a large town in England. Now Tamworth used to be the former capital of Britain, previously known as Mercia, but that is hundreds of years ago during the Viking invasions of Britain. Tamworth is a great place, its clean, has a great bowling alley and its own SnowDome (Which is fun when I learn how to actually ski)

My favourite place in Tamworth has to be the large lake we have in the center of town, I'm a member of the Sea Cadets (Ordinary Cadet Parkes ... thankyouverymuch !) and we use the lake for all of our stuff, sailing, canoeing and power-boating. Its great and I'm glad that we have enough room in our modern environment for a large patch of water that brings joy to all of the population of Tamworth. And no, no I dont do fishing ... never have, never intend to ... I'm too active to sit around waiting for a bite !

I'll tell you a little about myself ... lets see. I'm 6' 4 (Damn I'm a big guy !) 16.5 stone and a black belt in Judo, Karate and Ken-Do-Lin. Oh yeah ... I'm 16 years old too.

People tell me I'm too laid back for my own good, well thats true, the world could be coming to an end tomorrow and I'd just be lazing around !
I'm a (Professional) Student at Woodhouse High School and I've just finished my GCSE's (English equivelant of graduation) and I'm going back to do my A-Levels ... which is kindof like mini-collage ... damn I'm an idiot !

I'm hoping after my two-year course with the A Levels that I can enlist as an Warfare Officer in the Royal Navy, which means in 4 more years ... yes .. Mr. D. Cypher is gonna be in command of a warship ... lovely thought is'nt it ?
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Hoo boy, now *this* is a big question.
Does E.T. life exist ... I think there is a large possibility that in this infinite universe there has to be some other form of life out there .. I mean come on ... you telling me were the ONLY rock with life around this place ?
If we are, were more lonely than we know.

The discovery time however I cannot predict, as I said the universe *is* infinite, there is life out there, but how far away ? I estimate ... jeez .. I cant estimate, maybe sometime in the next Millenium ... but even that is a long shot ... we just gotta keep looking.

Hmm ... A beacon for others to find. That is a good idea which I never really thought about before in great detail.

I suppose we should send details on what out people are like, what we have accomplished over the years, what one of us looks like (A man and a woman, thankyouverymuch)

I dont think we should send technology though, I mean giving advanced (Yes, we may be more advanced than some cultures out there) technology to a fledgling civilisation may be catastophic !

Why do I run SETI @ Home. Good question, I just want to play my small part in this endevour to seek out E.T. life. As the saying goes 'every little-bit helps' and I'm hoping that my little bit does just that.

I think the project is a brilliant idea, harnessing the collective power of the Earths computers has to be beneficial to the speed of discovery of an E.T. signal.

Suggestions ... suggestions .... hmmmmmmm. (A long pause ensues)

Well ... (Again, a very long pause)

I can't think of a darn thing, your doing a great job guys and gals, keep it up and we'll find that signal eventually.
