I work as system administrator of SIEMENS mainframe computers.
We are some of those 'dinosaurs' of data processing and at least our systems are doomed to extinction.
There is always a SUN around the corner and there will be no refugium for endangered species like me and our S110, S130, S135 computers.
$TSOS is our kind of 'root'. I think after 17 years of working with the BS2000 system I deserve this name.
The picture shows my car when I picked it up at the Bremen DaimlerChrysler plant in 2000.
I think it looks much better than I do and after all it has a star on the hood. ;-)
I use Seti Driver to cache WUs and Seti Spy to watch my progress.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think SETI@home is a very good project. It unifies many people around the world in a peaceful task. I adore the idea of having millions of small computer systems doing such a great task.
Please don't worry about my statistical values, I donate most units to a friend's account. I will return only some units under my name to stay listed as active user. My friend is among the top 7,000 users with SETI@home.
