| I am 33 years old and live with my wife and four kids in Westfield, IN. I work from home as a software engineer for a enterprise software company based in San Francisco. I also help my wife and sister with a online wedding RSVP service (www.ez-rsvp.com). I spend most of my free time playing with the kids and reading. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I believe extraterrestrial life exists, and I think we will make contact someday. I believe that we will likely be found instead, by more advanced and enlightened beings. If we do find them first, I think that it will be with scientific tools that we can't even imagine today. I'm sure less than a hundred years ago nobody would have imagined that we could listen so deep into space and capture data that could be processed by millions of people on their home computers to find an ET signal, but that's what we're doing today. There's no way we can imagine what the future holds.
I run SETI@home because I just think it's a great idea and a good use of my spare CPU cycles. |
