Personal background
As a mathematician, I always was interested in the thin line between mathematics and philosophie, searching for the "truth".
As a part of this, the search for ETI is essential, maybe one day someone will tell us something to get nearer to our aim.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It seems like a search "against all odds" to me, nevertheless we have to try all we can ...
One thing I'll never understand: Why do we spent our energy on all those useless things instead of investing it in projects like SETI???
And yes, humans should transmit a beacon for others to find, as I said :
... against all odds ...
