Well, what can I really say about myself. Im a 23 year old male with aspirations of creating a better planet to live on. Yep thats right, im one of thoose people that hope for the best. Im a writer, currently working on about 3 billion different projects, and as if that wouldnt keep me busy, im constantly doing research on stuff like the Seti@home project. Ill have to say though, that the Seti@home project is by far the greatest thing ive ever seen, when it comes to putting a computer to use, and trying to do something that is completly insane to most people, but to us, its just something that we need to do.
I like to dance, camp, listen to music, read really far out there books, and watch really far out there movies. I enjoy having to put my thinking cap on and challenge myself to realize something that i have not thought of till that point. It makes me feel good to know that no matter what i do know, there is always something for me to learn about what i do know. :) |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Well, who am i to say if ET exists or not. I simply dont know about that, but i do hope that ET exists, and most of my brain is telling me that in a universe of unlimited possibilities, why discount that fact that anything could not exists, to me that would be just plain ignorence to even throw out that possibility. If ET is found, i do believe with all my heart, that it will be a great day for mankind, even if the aliens distroy most of us ie. ID4. but whatever the case may be, i believe that aliens, wheter they be big or small, mean or good, will find us, or we will meet in the middle with a project such as this one. The benefits would be phenominal if me actually met a alien race that we could communicate with. think about what could get done, there would be alot of panic in the beginning, such as alot of christians going nuts, because opps, there are other beings out there, and of course just the plain ignorence of most people frieking out. The true question is, Are we ready for this, not can we do this.
2. Of course we should, if we have the technology to do so, why not. Well there are alot of possibilities for this category, we could send alot of things. But in my own true personal opinion, there is only one thing, MUSIC, i mean music is the only thing that has been going ever sence man can remember. The question is though, what type of music.
3. Easy, i love doing new and exciting things, and i think this project is simply magnificant, and i am glad to support it. |
