Personal background
I am a project leader for software development projects. I believe in the fact, that there must be a load of different civilzations out there. Allthough I am convinced, we would never be able to meet each other - it would be impreive , if someone would catch some signals. Yes - I'd also like to go there - but as we all know, it's impossible - what a pity. When not being involved in computer stuff, I love music from classic to jazz, sometimes I am torturing my social surroundings with my own music. I like to travel, have been here and there (even to greenland, which was first and foremost white, but impressive). And I lately a realized that riding my bicycle helps me with the endless fight against overweight and lack of condition :-)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) yes
2) yes
3) because of 1) and 2)

It's a great project, which - if it wouldn't succeed in cathcing some artificial signals - at least brings people all around the world together - which maybe would be the first step. I think, before we think about getting in touch with extraterrestic civilzations, we maybe should start coping better with each other within our own civilzation. Shouldn't we, Mr. Bush and Mr. Bin Laden?
