Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it is unlikely that we are the only intelligent life in the Galaxy.
If you read the Book, "Probability" It will explain how Frank Drake realized from an experience with
a radio telescope, he could not escape the possibility that somewhere out there in space another technologically
advanced civilization might be sending us signals. Would we hear their call? Seti is a decendant of the project
OZMA
I run seti at home because I have always believed it is good and makes me feel good to help
others do a project or job. I always pitch in and help no matter what the job is.

I do not think that we should xmit a beacon, because if they can find us, their technology is
more advanced than ours and they may think us primitive and wipe us out. It is better to find
them first and observe what their intentions would likely be.

I think seti at home is a fun project.
