I'm 15 years old, a junior at Rio Americano High School, in Sacramento, CA. My classes include Honors English 3, AP US History, AP Physics, AP Economics, AP Calculus BC, and Spanish 3. My favorite subjects are math[traditionally my strength] and Physics, though Economics is rapidly gaining my interest. Things seem so predictable, and the functioning of the economy fits perfectly with what I've learned. What once seemed a random, luck-driven arrangement is now a sequence of predetermined events, called the stock market. However, the recent recession has made things more challenging, but I'm still piling up virtual money at www.virtualstockexchange.com; too bad I'll have to wait until I get some real money[a true job, not any of this $7/hr junk] to start investing..
Meanwhile, I'm just an ordinary guy. My favorite sports are basketball and table tennis. Conflicts often arise, though, and despite efforts[mostly insults, belittling, name-calling, etc] of the locals, my soul seems tied to the Lakers; success and failure in my life parallel success and failure of the Lakers. |

| I think it's quite possible that extra-terrestrial intelligence could reside among the galaxies. However infinite the universe seems simply increases the chance of others existing out there. It really is as scary to be alone in this continuum, as it is to have others around. As for when we'll discover those 'others', let's just say the prospects of picking up organized radio signals are much better than expecting those little green men to come up and knock on our doorsteps.. |
