Personal background
I'm a member of the Team Picard Genome@Home Team who's decided to dip my feet into the SETI pond to see what all the fuss is about. :p Wow, this SETI client sure is purdy! Goodbye DOS-box, hello flashing fancy thing-a-ma-bob!! :o
Hobbies: Genome@Home, SETI@Home, writing, music, fantays/sci-fi
Crafts: I make a mean plate of noodles
If I could change the world: I'd make it more egg-shaped. After all, you can't crush an egg with just one hand - it's a pretty sturdy design!
Favorite roadkill: rattlesnake
Favorite bird: elephant
Favorite band: Eels
Favorite can of tuna: I don't like tuna
Last known residence: Inside of a cardboard box inside a van down by the river.
Favorite non-graphical DC client: Genome@Home

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I used to run Genome@Home exclusively; however, after re-evaluating cosmic theory (yeah right I'm no Ph.D. physics wiz - but I am an interested layman) in relation to the 2nd law of thermodynamics, I figure "why bother" if the universe is just going to expand into nothingness. However, I figure there must be a solution to this problem. If all the energy in the universe was in one spot at some time, then I can't believe that it will all just dissipate into nothingness - there must be more to it than that. Perhaps this project can help find further answers to this question...
