Personal background
Hello SETI@home users,

My name is Ron Berry and I live in Bethel Park, PA. I was born in 1948, in the state of Deleware. My occupation is Electronic Technician and I work for Sony Electronics in Mt. Pleasant, PA. I have been a licensed Amateur Radio operator since 1978 with the callsign WB3LHD. My main Amateur Radio activity is working DX (long distance communication). I have worked all but 4 countries in the world. My other main interest is Astronomy. I have a 13.1" Dodsonian telescope and don't get it outside as much as I would like. I have been an Art Bell fan for several years and am a member of his SETI Club.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I personally beleive we are not alone in the universe. With all the billions of suns and galaxy's there are, and to think we are alone is not possible. There has to be hundreds if not thousands of intelligent life out there. If we will ever detect or have contact with others (if it has not already happened) is pretty remote but not impossible. SETI is increasing the odds of it happening. I would love to see a contact through SETI happen in my lifetime and especially from one of my SETI packets. One of my favorite movies is CONTACT with Jodi Foster and I hope to see that become a reality soon. Keep up the search, and good luck.
