| I live in Oshawa, ON, Canada and I work for a nearby Municipality - Network Support Technician. I was born Feb 7 1980. I like to do a lot of things including web programming, paintball, reading, and of course beer drinking. Mostly I try to occupy myself with things that are profitable (student loans, new jeep, etc to pay off). | Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I have a few computers running SETI now when they are not otherwise occupied. I figure there must be something else out there somewhere than can at least think and communicate. Hopefully my computers and I can help find it! And let's hope whoever/whatever we stumble upon has a sense of humour. Hopefully they leave us a humourous message, too... like "Ha ha, your solar system is about to implode." Well... more humourous to them than us I suppose. If we are to place a beacon on behalf of all humans, then we should figure out how to mathematically convey "we come in peace... please don't eat us or harvest our planet's resources." I'm not sure that's possible, though. ;) |
