Personal background |
I am an English guy, mid twenties, living near London.
My life revolves around my hobbies and work is definitely secondary. I enjoy Skydiving, Kung Fu, Tai Chi and anything that is generally fast and wild or stimulates the mind. I am also an amateur writer... SF, obviously.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
It seems inevitable to me that a discovery of ET origin will be made at some point in our future. Whether we find a thriving civilisation or a dead one, whether these discoveries help us or destroy us, it will at least make our existence a little less dull.
I run the SETI program because I believe in bringing an inevitable future closer to a time that is at a spiritual standstill (and by spiritual I don’t mean religion).
I believe a complete overhaul in the way of human thinking is needed. Discovering how weak and insignificant we are in the grand scheme of it all can be the only way; the only other option would seem to be a third world war -
This program should be promoted to a much greater extent.
I think every man or woman alive should be thinking about SETI; for if and when the time comes, we had better be ready.
