Personal background
I'm 16, I use my computers 16/7 (I have to sleep some of the time). I've been using computers since I was 5 when my dad bought our first computer, a Tandy 1000 back in 1990. Since then I've gotten in programming, 3d graphics and game development. Currently I'm working on a game called, Defiance, a game that I hope will turn out to be revolutionary for the independent game developers. On the side I work on 3d animated short films, 3 of which have been completed and are here. Besides being a computer nerd I enjoy playing basketball and my guitar, all heavy metal but I occasionally play some classic rock. My favorite group is Metallica, mostly because their guitar riffs are so intricately designed and implemented with the drum beats and bass tracks there really influential to my own guitar playing.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Personally I don't doubt there aren't any ET's out there. It wouldn't make sense for us being the only living things in the universe. I'm a believer of the extra terestrial origin theory, which states that we evolved from some organisms from another planet/galaxy that some how got down to Earth, most likely a meteor or comet and over millions of years evolved to who we are. I speculate that those single celled organisms that started life on Earth, were from another Earth like planet, who evolved to there peak of existence and died off from there own technology or natural disasters. That would explain Mar's situation. The main reason I do run SETI is for the feeling that I'm helping a worthy cause in finding ET.
