Profile: Skyler

Personal background
I am 45 and live in Oregon, although born and raised in Southern Louisiana. I obtained my curiosity and passion for astronomy from my wonderful Dad. He had a small insignificant telescope in strength, but significant in that it created a life-long interest for me in everything to do with space. We took vacations to the mountains and top on his priority list was to hike to the top of mountains to obtain the clearest view of the night sky. It was memorable to me on the highest order. Of course, there are no answers with astronomy without more questions. That is why it keeps us all going, isn't it?

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Our universe is a mystery, how large, how long will it last, unexplained energies according to our known mathematical algorithms, etc., thus it inspires me to hunger over the possibilities of life elsewhere and the possibility of detection. Who knows.
