Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
OK, I've learned over the years NOT to repeat this story but some things need repeating. Maybe the readers here will be less skeptical than most people I have told.

Neubrucke, Germany, October 1976

I was walking to work at 9 pm on a bright, clear October night. As I neared my work sight, an old airport hangar at the bottom of a small valley, I spotted a bright white light low in the sky. As I studied it I realized it was in front of the mountain top on the opposite side of the valley. It was not a star or planet. With curiosity over-riding any fear I may have felt, I approached the light for a better look. I got almost directly underneath the object. The light was now 2 distinct ones, cat eye shaped, one red, one blue and blinking alternately. The lights appeared to be on the edge of the craft. Other than the 2 lights it was completely dark and the only evidence of an object being there was the fact that it blocked out the stars that should have been visible. It was completely silent and hovered motionlessly.

I believe what I saw was an extra-terrestrial craft. Mans destiny is to reach the stars, as other extra-terrestrial civilizations have already done so.
