I live in the town of Oliver, B.C. in Canada. I have a formal education in both accounting and LAN administration.
Are we alone?
This is why I run SETI because I passionately believe that we are not alone in the vastness of the Universe. I believe that we will make first contact within 25 years. I believe that confirmed existence of other "intelligent" lifeforms will mark a major turning point in the history of humanity. I believe that SETI allows us to use the spare CPU power available in our PCs toward a positive use.
Within our lifetime, we will be able to answer the age old question if we are alone in the Universe.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have a suggestion for SETI@Home.
I would like to see SETI@HOME more widely promoted to the general public. I would like to SETI being more widely promoted in public buildings related to science and space exploration.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
