| I'm 22 years old, currently living in Hawthorne, California, USA, which is a suburb of that sprawl they call Los Angeles. I enjoy computers, driving, music, and occasionally dabble in writing. | Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| Seti is an interesting project. Some may consider it a boondoggle, a search for something that probably isn't in there. However, I consider it to be a fairly important project. The questions of who we are, where we came from, and if there is anyone else out there are important ones, and could possibly be answered, at least in part, by the SETI project. If the questions aren't answered, or nothing is found, it's not that big of a deal; the program is running when the processor is idle anyways. If something is found, however, then it definitely proves that the program is worth it,, that one question has been answered, and perhaps more importantly, more questions have been discovered as well. |
