Personal background
My name is Jan, and i'm from a small country named Holland.
Currently i'm 17 years young and i don't have a job (yet), instead i'm a student at the Graafschap College, wich is in Holland of course. :)

My hobby's are primarily computers, but i'm also interested in technology, space, astronomy, etc...

If i'm not at school, i spend my time behind my computers, at least one computer is dedicated to the seti@home project wich runs 24/7.

I also make computers programs, websites and graphics, i don't chat too much, though...hmmm :O
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes, i do think that ET life exists, because there are so many galaxies in this universe, i even think that multiple habitable planets such as earth exist in our own galaxy. I don't know when it will be discovered, it can be tomorrow or over 1000 years or so.. There is no danger i think, because if we discover something, it will be too far away to make contact. :'(

2. Yes, definately. We should send our DNA code, and the position of our solar system in the galaxy, but on a manner that it can be deciphered easily, like symbols or glyphics... And how life has evolved here, and such things... :)

3. I run it because i think it's exciting to participate on this grand scale project to find ET. And i also want to be the first one to find ET. :)
