Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that life must surely exist somewhere else in our vast universe, the only real questions in my mind are; Are they intelligent, and if so are they friendly? Hence my hesitation at sending a beacon into space. I run seti@home in an effort to make good use out of otherwise wasted cpu time, and to further our overall knowledge of not only this particular program but also our knowledge of distributed computing in general.
