Surely there exists et-life! We aren't the only living animals who are able to think and produce stuff for their own. we just passed stoneage compared to other civilisations which ARE SURELY out there!!
I don't think we should try to send any signal. First we just should LISTEN and learn!! learn, which frequence is used, see how old the message is, and have a look at the region it came from. nothing more. the message we would send there, wouldn't be faster as living people someday. someday somehow we WILL leave our solarsystem with a real fast way to move. we would pass our message send out these days :-) so it doesn't make any sense to send something. Just wasted money and time.
