I got my BA from New College when it was still part of USF and my PhD from USF, so I'm a double USF alum. :-)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have no idea if there's anyone out there, but it sure can't hurt to look. Plus, the SETI screensaver is just really cool and kind of....mesmerizing.
