If I think extraterrestrial life do exist? Let say it the other way around, the Universe being so big, would the planet Earth be the only one with life, or we are not alone in this universe. If our planet is the only one with life on it, this means that we fortunate in the Universe.
Should we transmit a beacon for others to find it? No and yes, No if we look at it from a different perpective, if there's life somewhere else, they don't want to be known. Yes if we want to be known.
I'm running SETI@home for curiosity, I really want to know if there's life somewhere else in this big universe.
