I live in Saint Charles, Illinois which is about 35 miles West of Chicago. I have been married for 24 years now and have a 17 year old daughter and one cat. I was born near the end of 1953 so I am 50 as I write this.
Work is programming using Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and MySql. I started working in the computer field in 1979 using Burroughs mainframes. The changes over the years have been amazing and seem to show no sign of slowing down.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run Seti@home because I belive that someday we will find the proof that we are not alone. I am proud to be a small part of the search even if we never find anything. Also I have several computers that have plenty of spare time to donate.
I think the project is a good idea. I only wish that more searching could be done so that maybe we might find something while I am still around to see.
