I think it would be irresponsible to contact another species while we are still warring amongst ourselves. I suggest it is a good idea to look, but too soon to advertise.
Furthermore, your average person would be too blinkered to greet an alien with anything more than suspicion - probably media driven.
Why do I do this? The FFT runs similar to my radar signal processor at work so I can relate to what is going on. I visited the Arecibo Observatory in 2000 whilst in Puerto Rico (no sign of Jodie Foster or James Bond) - got to the website on my return to the UK and here I am. |
