Hi my name is Bob I am a photocopier technician for a well-known copier manufacturer.
I am 34 and have an unhealthy interest in building and messing about with computers and home networks.
I have a small network of PC's and a linux system all running Seti@home.
I also have a very understanding wife !!!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Life must exist somewhere else in the universe; it is too impossible to think it does not.
Seti@home is a great way to contribute into looking for proof of other intelligent life, and I am proud to be a part of it.
I do not think it would be a good idea to send out a signal to other species to confirm our existence for obvious reasons. Best to peer through the window then decide weather to shout hello.
Who knows which way evolution went in different parts of the universe.
Consider this: - If that Meteorite didn’t hit the earth and wipe out the Dinosaurs what would the world be like today. Would we be the prominent species?
