| Howdy, my Name is Chad and I have been longing for some type of confirmation of any type of Alien races within our universe. I can only dream to be the first to uncover some form of transmission, but even if I am not, just knowing that we are not alone would be a dream come true. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Honestly I can't say that I believe extraterrestrial life exists since no sitings have been confirmed officially. But just as being a Christian, I have faith that God exists even though I have never seen him personally. So it would stand to reason that the existance of other sentient beings is possible.
I don't see any reason to send "beacons" since if there are others out there and they can travel through space, they will or already have found us. I believe that we are being watched over and that when the time is right, they will make there presence known.
As far as seti@home is concerned, I run it so someday we can find evidence that others exist. The project is a wonderful idea and hopefully the unscanned parts of space will be scanned soon. |
