Personal background
In the beginning, there was darkness...

No, sorry, wrong text!

In the beginning there was our small server of our working group in Hannovers
university. He had a so boring live and was idle nearly all time, that we
thought, a little bit of work should be the right thing for him. And so we
started SETI...

Meanwhile, there are over 10 other computer occupied with SETI. Of course
all of them are part of our working group!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Actually we think, that there must be some other life in this universe. But the
question is, if we will discover them or if they are interested in talking to
us. Maybe they are much more developed than us... And no one knows, whether
they are friendly of not!

Humans have send some information. On the SETI-homepage, it is described. A
pretty good and tricky made picture. Maybe this is the best way to start
communications. This way has to be followed...

The reason why we run SETI is, that most computers run most time in idle mode.
Why not working this time on important things? That does not hurt anyone and
the user does not recognize that SETI is running. And the only way finding
out if there is someone else in this universe is the way, SETI works. So
everybody has to support SETI...
