| My name is Nick Myer and I will turn 25 on June 14, 2005. Ever since I was a child, I have dreamed of contacting life outside of Earth. I work at Sears in the Electronics Department in a rather historic part of southeastern Ohio. I was a soccer standout in Ohio until I was blessed with a son. Since then I have devoted my life solely unto him. Soon after, I lost my father to a massive heart attack. Then I had an epiphany. My father now knows more about life in death. I wish to know the same while I live. So I devote my meager computer resources to exploring the heavens...searching for answer to our call. Our race is fragile, most of us unwilling to accept the possibility that we are not alone. I was once like that. When I was 8 or 9 years old, I stumbled upon Drake's equation, and suddenly, mathematically, it all made sense. Our God is an awesome God, and he would not leave us alone in the vastness of space. And so, like you, I search for our brethren. It is not in vain.... |
