Personal background
Thankyou for looking at my lame excuse for a profile, but here it goes!

Seti@home is currently running on four computers, a IBM 800mhz (work), custom built pentium 200 (home server), custom built pentium 2 500mhz (home game machine 1), and a custom built AMD 1.8ghz (home game machine 2). All of these are networked together (using the kool keystone jacks and the wires are in the walls) in my fixer-upper home purchased october 2000. Have a linux machine with an AMD 400mhz chip, but that's not running seti@home yet. :-( hopefully soon though!!

Am a computer geek (actually a programmer) and was born in June of 1971. All of my time is "carefully" split between work (mostly), house work (try to avoid), fixing up the house (kinda fun), playing on the computer and games (great!), and fixing other peoples computers (not so fun, but...). Currently single but always looking! I was born and raised in CT (USA) but spent some time in the military (MLRS artillery) and had a blast!

P.S. - picture isn't the best, but only one on the server at the moment. Please forgive me!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) ET does exist and I hope that one of us proves that there is life out there beyond the blue sky!!

2) I don't think that we should transmit a beacon, but build spaceships (like Star Trek) to find other civilizations. (wouldn't it be great to be on one of those!!)

3) Seti@home is a great way to contribute to science (although not tax deductable) and I enjoy running it to see the graphic displays (not on the screensaver of course)! The graphics always catches someones eye, or both eyes for that matter.
