Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've always considered the possibility of ETL and think the conditions which exist to sustain life on this planet MAY exist elsewhere.

i wonder if there may be a danger in announcing our existence to another culture, remembering what happenned to the south american indians in the 16th century. would they be benign or malevolent?
I also wonder if they've been able to recieve our radio and tv transmissions from last century? what on earth would they think of us by listenning to radio transmissions during the wars, or by watching I Love Lucy or The Roadrunner?

i'm willing to risk the planet for the knowledge we may gain; are you?
