Hobbies include collecting antique non IBM pc's, skiing, golf, and geo caching.

Yes I believe it exists. When will it be discovered? Uhmm...perhaps we will be the ones who will be discovered?! The benefits of discovery you ask? Either endless opertunities for humankind to gain knowledge, or enslavement of humankind at the hands (or tenticles) of our new extraterrestrial overloads.
Should we transmit a beacon? Too late! Radio waves have been on the move in outer space for years. What information should we send? Well, after 60 years of TV, and 75 of radio, what haven't we sent?
Why do I run SETI@Home? I'm a geek, and I want to be the one that helped discover that we may not be alone. And it makes a cool screen saver!
Suggestions? How about a newsletter via email with monthly stats etc...?
