I'm an Aussie gal, single, not looking thank-you-very-much (just don't tell my mother that though ok).
I am a sometime writer and fulltime slave to the service industry. My hobbies enjoy watching sport (baseball - toronto blue jays ... aussie rules - sydney swans), reading all kinds of novels, watching tv, and stalking Charlie Sheen (but only in a nice way).
One of my favourite past-times is hitting refresh on the sluggy (gee - is it not nifty - www.sluggy.com) website 500 times (at 30-second intervals) a day to see if the new comic is up. This is followed by 1 minute of pure joy upon seeing the new daily load, 2 minutes viewing pleasure, 5 minutes laughing hilariously, 18 minutes of contemplating the pure genius that IS Pete Abrams, followed by a further 23 hours and 34 minutes of depression and longing for the NEXT day's strip.
And my psych wonders why my prozac bill is so high!

i just KNOW there is life out there - because there sure as HELL aint any where I reside!!!
my only query though is why an alien species would want to communicate with earth??? have you LOOKED at this place lately??
so, send out as many beacons as tyou like, i don't think they're gonna answer. If you're really lucky you might get the answering machine ... although it will probably more likely be one of those automated answering services
