Profile: joebok

Personal background
A mild-mannered programmer for a major metropolitan actuarial firm who seeks out new life and new civilizations in his off hours, Joe is more than just a computer geek. He builds boats, plays a variety of musical instruments, reads voraciously, and is an amateur photographer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think the SETI@home project is great - using computers and the 'net to get people working together and all that. It's fun to be an active part of a project so big in scope.

One day I am sure that we will find evidence that we are not alone in the cosmos. If SETI@home does not find the evidence, then at least it will have laid the groundwork for acceptance.
