Personal background
Hello. I'm 27, I live in Melbourne, Australia, and I'm studying Graphic Design. I think I'm the only person who'll ever read this, (hmm, maybe my girlfriend might too), so I might come back and change things every now and then, just to keep it fresh and interesting for myself. That doesn't really make much sense... ho hum.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I don't think aliens exist. I hope they do, cause that'd be excellent, but I don't think they do. Hey, when they turn up I'll be the first to admit I was wrong.

I don't think that the sheer size of the universe is the proof of existence that so many people seem to believe it is. "The universe CAN'T be this big and only have us living in it!!" I think God made the universe that big, and only populated this little planet "far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm", to show that he could."The universe doesn't need to be this big" said God (I'm speculating) "but let me impress upon my Creation how powerful I am, and how special they are, that I have created this for them."

I really like this quote by Arthur C Clarke that I think says a lot about this old universe of ours:

"Sometimes I think we're alone in the universe, and sometimes I think we're not. In either case, the idea is quite staggering."
