I love sport and observing the night sky .One of my favourate things is to camp out under the stars and watch as sattelites and shooting stars fly past.Has to be warm though it can get pretty cold in the UK.at night. Seem to be spending a lot of time swearing at my PC beacause it doesn't work properly
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1 Yes but I think we will not live to see the day when its discovered. Also I think it will be a simple form of life at first.Maybe when we move forward enough we will find more intelligent life.Benefits could be more knowledge better medicine also the knowledge that were not alone could produce benefits in itself. But all this must be tempered with caution, there may be a disease we cant treat or there maybe another Hitler out there.
2 I'm a little aprehensive about actually sending out a beacon as per my previous statement we don't know what we will find. Or maybe more to the point what will find us.
Something I saw the other day about the science of faster thatn light speed travel gave me hope warp speed mr sulu.
Oh met him the other day by the way realy nice guy got his autograph.
