Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.
Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?
A: Yes of course

when and how will humans discover it?
A: Possible never, but it's allways better try it, I think the ET life exist, but very far away from here, maybe a "starwars" system, very sofisticated, but too far from us, and viceversa, too far for them too (respect to us).

What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
A: well, a possible chaos from certain sectors of our comunity, but solar eclipse caused too, and end of millenium too. I think there are not a real benefits for all humankind comming from that kind of discovery, because nothing can happen if we discover a life existing at 10 billion years light form here, but maybe different if that life is discovery on Venus or Jupiter instead.

2.
Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
A: we already are transmiting all those signals from TV and Radio, I think is not very necesary transmit another thing, so, what thing we must transmit specialy for those ET out there??, probably they aren't understand anything. And what happend if this life out there is simply a celular life in a distant star system??, or a civilization like our civilizacion 500 years ago???, they will miss our signals probably.

what information should we send?
A: I think nothing really special, just TV shoots and music, I think this can be a good one, music, but not Metallica, I like this guys really, but not for send to the space this kind of music, maybe some clasic music. But like I said, we already are transmiting signals.

3.
Why do you run SETI@home?
A: I really think there are some guys out there in some place in our universe. BUT I don't think we can contact them, at least en the next 5.000 years, we must evolution a little bit more for that :) conquest other planets in and out our solar system... AND maybe at this time we can had a hope to contact them, not before.
I run Seti@Home because I know that you guys have rally a faith on this proyect, and I like people with th
