Hi, I'm 47 and work in HVAC/Building Automation. I love Astronomy and Amateur Radio. I am also a member of The Planetary Society. It is great that I can be a part of SETI. It is the culmination of all my interests!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course there is life everywhere! We will find evidence of intelligent life someday. The important thing is the search itself. That so many would get involved says alot about our kind. The day we have proof of intelligent life not spawned of our world will be our first step toward a wonderful future of possibility.
For almost 100 years we have been unintentionally announcing our presence to anyone who might be listening. It's about time we announced ourselves formally.
We should send music! It's complex comunication that certianly won't be considered random noise.
I run SETI@HOME to be a part of what has made us special since we first wondered about ourselves and our world.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
