Born and raised in Texas. Moved to Oregon in 2002 to get away from the sweltering summer heat in Texas. I'm a 38 year old stay at home dad who enjoys his family and tinkering with computers, electronics, xbox's... almost anthing that uses electricity... cept stuff like blenders... they are boring :P
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because there must simply be "life" out there somewhere... we have yet to find it. As far as sending out a beacon that we are here.. we already have aint we? I mean what is it we are looking for... radio signals broadcast on other planets? We have been sending those out for quite some time now. I'm just waiting for some pissed of alien to drop down and wonder why their favorite soap was canceleed :P
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
