Profile: Jonathan Webb

Personal background
I grew up in Maine. I remember after seeing E.T. I started doing this thing where I'd go outside late at night with a flashlight, point it to the sky and flash on and off to signal aliens. I'm older now and realize that those cheap flashlights just won't cut it. So now I use a powerful halogen lamp.

In other news I have BS in Computer Science from RPI and live in rainy Maine.

I like loud noisy electronic music. And some hip-hop.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI@home (classic) was hard at first. It took me like four years, but I finally found the Fast Fourier Transform power-up I needed to get past level 2. Now I've got the hang of it I think. Just a few more points and I'll earn an extra life!!! My friends all think the graphics suck and can't understand why I like to play SETI@home all day, when I could be playing the new Zelda, or meeting girls. I guess I like the blocky retro-feel of it; kind of a mix between Zaxxon and Defender (maybe a hint of Tac Scan). I wish it were a bit more like Tapper and Burgertime, but all in all SETI@home is very satisfying.
