Personal background
I'm a 31 years old man from Quebec City newly arrive in France for a 2 years minimum contract that has three computers donating their CPU time to SETI research. I've been working for the past two years has a technical support for a company who build handheld computer. Two computer are running Linux Redhat and the third one is running.... i'm so sorry, i have no choice...WindowsXP :)

Since my computer do not mind working hard and many hours, i have decided to give them a little bit of work to do when i'm not using them at home. If they(and I) can help a little bit computerizing all those data to be able to find something, somewhere, somehow.. at least, i will have a bit to do with it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes. I think we will not discover them they will be the one contacting us first. Hard to say, must wait FIRST CONTACT :)

2. We must send them a universal knowledge base so they can learn your language. I don't think that humans, like in movie, will be able to discover a way to communicate easely with them i such a short notice (FIRST CONTACT NOT PREDICTABLE).

3. Just want to give a little bit of help. The project is good but we need to be patient. Maybe only future generation will be able to benefict from those research.
