For a living I repair al kinds of computer hardware and run a compagny warehouse.
My hobbies: DIY Electronic's, Astronomie, Internet (mainly searching for stuf regarding my hobbies and participant in a few electronic's related forums and, offcourse, a proud member of Seti@Netherlands)

Why do I run Seti@home: I can't believe we are alone in this inmense universe. (if we are alone, I would consider this as a terible waste of space)
If somebody is out there, I hope that they are looking for us. Because you can't be sure about that, we might as wel be looking for them.
My Views about the project: I am not sure if we can find an advanced inteligent ET lifeform. If they are that advanced I do not think that they wil use radio signals to communicate. But they might have set up a radio beaken for us just to enable us to find them. For now It would be nice to find any signal, indicating that we are not alone. If some nearby inteligence is using radio waves to communicate, we should be able to locate them.
Any Suggestions: At the moment, we start using lasers for communication. Laser seems to be a far more efficient way to communicate. ET might be using lasers for this too, so why not search for any signs of this form of communication? |
