Profile: Steve Jordan

Personal background
I'm a 31yr old Industrial Designer from the home counties in the South East of England (about 40 miles west of London). I have always been interested space and the universe and wanted to help out SETI in any way I could.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe extraterrestrial life does exist, but not in Flying Saucers and Alien Greys - leave that to the X Files.

Alien life could well be within our scanning range, but at a stage of development that is not yet capable of sending or receiving radio frequency energy. If you'd scanned Earth from space just 100 years ago you might have concluded it was a dead planet.

For me, micro organisms, animals or plantlife elsewhere would be a result, and go a long way to proving that intellegent life must exist somewhere, even if we can't detect it.
