Profile: Dennis Albright

Personal background
IT Support Manager out of Atlanta Georgia.
Originally out of West Viginia and a fan of the October Sky.
I was born at the cusp of the space age in 1957 and have been looking up ever since.
One of the 30 million kids that always wanted to be an astonaut but somehow didn't have "the right stuff".
Grew up with Lost in Space (had an awful crush on Penny Robinson), baby sat by Rod Serling and the Twilight Zone, and believed what I was told about living on Mars by the year 2000. I want to know where my flying car and personal robot is and why dogs don't talk. Right R'Astro ?
I have a private pilots license but never seem to have the time or money to stay current.

You are traveling to another dimension... Danger Will Robinson Danger... Dave, I'm sorry dave but I can't do that...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run Seti because I know the Truth is out There, I'm just not sure we can handle the truth. The odds are too great to say that intelligent life does not exist but the vastness of space roulette wheel of time may make communication impossible.
Countering that is the thought that we are only infants in sceme of things.

If you were lost and alone in the woods, it would be lunacy not to call out for even if you were unsure anyone could hear you. If a civilization falls in the universe, does it make a sound?
