| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I became interested in SETI@Home almost 2 years ago when a friend told me about it. I set up one of my computers running it as a screen saver, and eventually added all of the computers on my network running the NT commandline software with SetiSpy. SETI@Home is a good use of idle processing potential of computers. Will we find extraterrestrials? Who Knows? Are they out there? Probably. Will they want to talk to us? Unless we grow up as a society, probably not. |
