Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I simply do not believe that in the vastness of the universe there isn,t another planet supporting intelligent life. Whether it's wise to let them know were here is another matter.

If (when) we do find them and if they are more advanced it will be because they rejected bad-science. The type of bad science that has some unqualified quack expert telling us we have global warming while at the same time another equally preposterous fool tells us about the next ice-age.

More bad science sees us burning fossil fuel when we could and should be further developing sustainable nuclear power...oh no I forgot (bad) science tells us we can get out energy from wind farms.

And the bad scientists I detest with a vengence are those that want us all to have organic food grown without fertiliser. I wonder what bad science they would offer us to overcome the world starvation they would cause.

Reject or accept my views as you please they are at least honestly held.
