Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
How do you define life? Do ´they´ have to be carbon-based like humans? Do ´they´ have to breathe oxygen like we do? Do ´they´ have to reproduce themselves? I can imagine of some kind of interstellar clouds that are shaped a special way just to store information. I would call this ´life´. All we can do to find extraterrestrial life is to listen at the electromagnetic waves they might transmit, life forms that don´t do that we can´t discover. But maybe they can discover us.
