Hi my name's Iain, I'm 27 and I'm from Durham in England. Hmmm...this sounds like a dating agency letter doesn't it!!? I work for the Local Education Authority and they are now kindly letting me reun SETI@home off my PC at work as well as the one at home...but they dont know that yet!! :-)
Always been interested in Astronomy but by background is Meteorology instead (couldn't handle the astrophysics!!), so I'm curious about what the weather and climate is like on the planets as much as whether there is life or not!
First started doing SETI@Home about 3 years ago in the early days, but lost my e-mail account, password, etc etc so rejoined about 6 months ago! Would love to be alive when first contacts, messages, etc are received but I'm a pessimist so i doubt I'll be around...maybe my 4 year old son has a better chance!?
If this thing shows e-mail addresses, then e-mail if you want to know more!

Being a pessimist (see above!) I've always been sceptical about their being 'alien' life and always dismiss these UFO sightings as pure rubbish! But if you consider the number of stars in the universe then the odds on us being the only life form are pretty remote aren't they!? Maybe Jupiter's moons will reveal something!? Even if its only small microbes it would suggest that there must be more out there!!
